Petikan dari Akhbar Bulletin - The Bersatu Bikers Club (BBC) yesterday held an annual meeting to discuss upcoming events and to elect four new working committee members for the 2011 session.
BBC President B53 Jahali bin Suhaili praised the commitment and dedication of members in supporting the club since its inauguration in 2008. He said the support of its members ensures a strong foundation for club and a good sign that the club will continue to develop in years to come.
He outlined several activities for the club including a journey to the tip of Borneo in Kudat, Sabah, from 18 Mac to 21 Mac 2011. Since BBC members are mostly men with families, a family day will be held in April to encourage a stronger bond between BBC members and their families.
He touched on the Borneo Island International Big Bike Festival this year, which will be held in Sabah, Malaysia. He reminded BBC members this is the big bike festival in Borneo. Those who wish to join the festival must book their vacations early. Several working committee positions were also filled in with the elections of B36 Asmali Hj Bakir as Back Marker, B116 Hj Jasni Hj Jumat as Marshal, B81 Hj Dzainuddin Hj Matsin as Assistant Treasurer and Barahan Hj Lamat as Safety Officer.
Deputy BBC President B55 Zaini Hj Puddin said they would elect the BBC High Council and hold a yearly meeting for its members. In the BBC family, it is a mixture of motorcycles, from big bikes to scooters, even trikes, as long as they are on two wheels and have an engine. BBC was established on Feb 12, 2008 with 50 members. Today the membership has swelled to 150. Unlike other bike clubs, BBC will accept membership from motorcycle enthusiasts, regardless of the calibre of their motorcycles.
